Ticket offices

The main entrance and ticket office of the Catacombs of Naples are in the Madre del Buon Consiglio Basilica, Via Capodimonte 13: the tour begins with the Catacombs of San Gennaro.
If, however, you would prefer to start from San Gaudioso, we have a ticket booth in the Santa Maria della Sanità Basilica at Piazza Sanità 14.

Reservations are required for groups of at least 20 participants, both for the guided tour of the catacombs and for the Holy Mile.
The rates for tours of the Catacombs are:

  • One catacomb: €5/person (Min. 20 participants)
  • Two catacombs: €6/person (Min. 20 participants)

The Catacombs of San Gennaro are a architectural barrier-free site acessible to all guests.

The disabled access (on reservation) is located in vicoletto San Gennaro dei Poveri 22, by San Gennaro Hospital.

Embossed plaques along the itinerary provide a pleasant visit for blind.

Practical tips

Your visit to the Catacombs is best enjoyed with comfortable shoes and a light sweater (even in warmer periods): the temperature in the site varies from between 15 and 22° C.

Bus tickets

  • ANM single trip (€1, ANM vehicles only)
  • TIC 90 minutes (€1.50, valid on all buses)

Due to the new fare system, each bus company has its own tickets and bus passes. The TIC - integrated ticket, allows you to travel on all buses, regardless of the company.

By car

Take the Naples Tangenziale and come off at exit no. 5 - Capodimonte.

Turn right into Via Capodimonte.

The Basilica is on the right after 200 m.
